Acireale’s Carnival
Acireale’s Carnival has always been considered the most beautiful in Sicily, being the oldest and most attractive event of the island.
During this event the streets of the baroque city center are filled by carnival floats made by papier-mache artisans, flowery floats, masquerades, burlesque, music and cabaret, thematic exhibitions and artistic collections.
In summer, during the first week of August, the event is repeated in a different scenario, but equally captivating and evocative.
